IAB Open session at IETF 123: WSIS+20 and IGF Updates, Olympic Broadcast Services

The IAB Open Session at the IETF 123 Madrid meeting included presentations on Internet-governance related activities and featured a presentation about the work of the Olympic Broadcasting System.

Olaf Kolkman, Internet Society Principal - Internet Technology, Policy, and Advocacy; Dhruv Dhody, IAB Member; Mirja Kühlewind, IAB Member; and Roman Danyliw, IETF Chair provided updates on activities around the WSIS+20 process and the IAB-organized session at the Internet Governance Forum held 23-27 June 2025.

Guillermo Jimenez, Director of Broadcast Engineering of the Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS) provided an overview of how they provide host broadcast services for the Olympic Games, and how those are built on and provided via various technologies, including those developed in the IETF.
